I have to tell you a story: a year ago a well respected young doctor, and adoptive father of four young girls passed away suddenly. His family was devastated. I was asked to play the piano for his service. He had a very large family, nine brothers and sisters total. I grew up with them and respected them so much. His wife is also a good friend of mine and I knew I couldn't simply play "straight" hymns. I felt he deserved more.
