This song gives a voice to Simon of Cyrene, the man that carried the cross to Golgotha for Christ. The published version contains a tiny lyrical change from the original, which took a little bit too much artistic liberty (I cry out to the soldiers/Place this cross on my shoulders). My good friend Josh Tenney, a member of Lex DeAzevedo's Millenium Choir, sings the audio track with the "false doctrine" lyrics.
