I have had several friends "bug" me to do an arrangement of this cherished hymn that found its way out of the current hymnbook (ten bucks says it's back in next time around!). Again, though, how can I write something nice when I think Mack Wilburg's arrangement is the best ever?! I've been puttering with an arrangement for about a year, but in one day threw it all out and got this just right...hope all my requesting friends like it! It's child's play until that third verse, when it becomes a tough little monster with a hidden melody during running sixteenth notes on the right hand. The movement is wonderful, though...and I am particularly proud of the ending.
