About Me

Aaron Waite Welcome to AaronWaite.com, the cheapest place on the internet to get sheet music of high quality Christian/LDS hymn arrangements and original songs!

Why so cheap? Because I prefer to keep the music about the music and nothing else. LDS music is meant to praise God our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and His atonement, and the restoration of the gospel. Any other purpose would be incorrect, and offering my praises in this way is, in my opinion, an expression of consecration.

I am an official, card-carrying member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP), but offer my copyrighted material to the public with an agreement that my music will be used for non-commercial purposes. Performances in sacrament meetings, Relief Society, priesthood, firesides, etc. are allowed (and encouraged!). Commercial performance issues should be directed to aaron@aaronwaite.com.

Aaron, Amber, Aria, Trinity, and Dayson But enough of that…who am I? I'm a late 20-something father of three gorgeous children and the husband of the most beautiful webmaster in the world! :)

I'm originally from St. George, Utah. I served my mission in Paris, France (OUAIS!) from 1998-2000. We recently moved back to St. George (from heaven, uh, I mean Cedar City), where I'm a department manager at Deseret Industries (I work for the Church, yeah!)...and compose like a maniac in my spare time!

Amber, Aria, Trinity, and Dayson are my greatest treasures…I love being a "hubband" and a daddy! We look forward to the addition of Sonnet in late April!

Over the years I have served in the Church in loads of music callings, including ward music chairman, ward choir director, ward organist, primary chorister, primary pianist, and priesthood pianist. I'm currently ward organist in our ward (as well as husband of the primary president)…oh, and resident composer. :)

For those of you who are wondering, my songs are generally void of tempo and/or dynamic markings, for a reason: some elements of music, in my opinion, can be left to the performer for interpretation. I confess I do it all the time, and leave such interpretations as tempo and dynamics, unless crucial, up to each individual performer. If you would like specific tempo/dynamic cues on a specific song, just ask!

My greatest reward in life is seeing "that look" on a person's face who has heard a number of mine…that look that says "this has changed me."

Feel free to email me any time! I absolutely love hearing from people visiting my site and using my music in any way!

"It is important to keep in mind the fact that music should be truly different and unique, so that a contribution to musical literature is being made when it is written."--Leroy Anderson
"For half a century I have been writing my thoughts in prose and in verse; history, philosophy, drama, romance, tradition, satire, ode and song; I have tried them all. But I feel I have not said the thousandth part of what is in me. When I go down to the grave I can say like many others, 'I have finished my day's work.' But I cannot say, 'I have finished my life's work.' My day's work will begin again the next morning...My work is only beginning."--Victor Hugo
"All I know about music is that not many people really hear it. And even then, on the rare occasions when something opens within, and the music enters, what we mainly hear...are personal, private, vanishing evocations. But the man who creates the music is hearing something else, is dealing with the roar rising from the void and imposing order on it as it hits the air. What is evoked in him, then, is of another order, more terrible because it has no words, and triumphant, too, for that same reason. And his triumph, when he triumphs, is ours." --from Sonny's Blues by James Baldwin
